How Laguna Phuket is structured within Bang Tao
Laguna Phuket covers more than 1,000 acres of landscaped and coastal grounds along a three-kilometre stretch of Bang Tao. Its infrastructure includes six hotels, residences, an 18-hole golf course, spas, restaurants, and services for property owners and guests. Laguna Phuket itself describes this concept as an “integrated destination.”
For guests, this means something quite simple: within Laguna, you can use the facilities of different hotels and travel between key locations using complimentary shuttle buses and boats.
At the same time, Laguna is not isolated from Bang Tao. Beyond its boundaries are Boat Avenue, Porto de Phuket, restaurants, beach clubs, and other places that shape everyday life in the area.

Laguna Golf Phuket: golf as part of everyday life
Laguna Golf Phuket is an 18-hole, par-71 course located directly within Laguna Phuket. The course runs between lagoons, tropical greenery, and natural landscapes and forms part of the overall resort grounds.
In Laguna, golf is not a separate activity that requires travelling across the island, but part of the landscape and everyday rhythm.
The course is open for individual rounds as well as to club members. The club operates an academy with PGA professionals, while tennis and fitness sessions are also available. For those who play regularly, this means being able to leave home and be on the course with virtually no travel time. But even for those who do not play, the golf course matters: it creates more greenery, open views, and greater distances between properties.
It is also worth noting that Phuket has long been familiar with professional golf. Tiger Woods played here at the Johnnie Walker Classic and won the tournament in 1998 at Blue Canyon Country Club. It was not Laguna Golf Phuket, but the fact illustrates Phuket’s place on the international golfing map.
Beaches near Laguna Phuket
One of Laguna’s advantages is its location between two beaches with distinctly different characters: the long Bang Tao Beach and the quieter Layan Beach. Laguna does not have a separate “Laguna Beach.” Its hotels and residences are located along the Bang Tao coastline, so the sea here is the same one that borders the entire area.
Bang Tao is a long and lively beach where it is easy to combine peaceful time by the sea with the familiar rhythm of resort life. Beach clubs, restaurants, and hotels line the area, while the shoreline is ideal for long walks.
Within Laguna, the beach experience is enhanced by its own infrastructure. One of the main new spots on the coast is Rava Beach Club. It features a restaurant, bars, swimming pools, sun loungers, and cabanas, with the space divided into several zones, each with a different character. A separate Prestige zone is available for Banyan Group residence owners.
Just a few minutes to the north, the character of the coastline changes. Layan Beach is located near Sirinat National Park and is noticeably quieter than Bang Tao. There is less resort activity here and more nature and open space, making Layan particularly pleasant for walks, peaceful time by the sea, and long sunsets.
As a result, Laguna residents can choose between two different scenarios: Bang Tao for a more active seaside lifestyle, restaurants, and beach clubs, and Layan for times when they want tranquillity, nature, and a quieter coastline.
Restaurants in Laguna Phuket: from breakfast to dinner by the sea
Laguna’s dining scene is one of the reasons it should not be viewed solely as a place to stay. Here, you can create your own dining itineraries without leaving the resort grounds.
At Angsana, it is worth checking out Baan Talay for Thai cuisine and Azzurra for Italian fare. Banyan Tree is home to Saffron, the brand's signature Thai restaurant.
At Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket there are several different evening options. Benjarong offers Thai cuisine in a traditional teak house by the lagoon. La Trattoria is perfect for an Italian dinner and wine, while Horizon Lounge is ideal for coffee, afternoon tea, or a cocktail with a sea view. For a more casual vibe by the water, there is the Casuarina Beach Restaurant & Bar.
Laguna itself has enough restaurants for a relaxed breakfast, a family lunch, or a dinner for a special occasion. At the same time, the entire Bang Tao dining scene remains just beyond its boundaries — from Boat Avenue to the beach clubs along the coast.
Who Laguna Phuket is best suited for when it comes to living and holidays
Laguna is well suited to those for whom quality of life is determined not only by the home, the view, or the beach, but also by how conveniently everything around them is organised.
It is particularly appealing to:

If you are planning a holiday or a move to Phuket, Laguna is definitely worth adding to your list of places to explore. It is an easy place to spend a holiday, and if you stay for several months or decide to relocate, you gradually get used to having everything you need close at hand.
